Helicobacter pylori gastritis(high) 048B
Rod-shaped organisms are present along the luminal surfaces of the epithelium and in the luminal mucus. They do not invade the mucosa. The bacteria are small and in H&E stain have a pale eosinophilic appearance. They are best seen on giemsa stain, where they stain bluish-purple.
