276B Metastatic Melanoma (high)
The tumor cells are large and irregular or spindle-shaped with large nuclei with the chromatin clumped at the periphery of the nucleus. The nucleoli are prominent and eosinophilic. Note the large number of pigmented cells; this feature, typical of malignant melenoma, is not always evident in metastatic lesions.
