SUMMER RESEARCH POSITIONS

Purpose: This web-site was created so that students can browse for summer research positions on the web instead of having to read through a very thick binder of handwritten pages submitted by professors explaining what research positions are available. Not only should this make it easier on students, but also on faculty (they will be able to monitor their own entry and so can correct information or availability as it changes) and the staff in the Dean's Office (they will not have to send out letters every year and compile the binder, but can just send a reminder email to the faculty to update their web-site submissions).

Who enters the data: The individual faculty members fill in the data. They access the site through their JHED ID and enter information about what research positions they are offering. They can access and change their information at any time.

Who is responsible: Trevor Ellison (MS-II as of the 2002-2003 school year) is responsible for the site with help from the Dean's Office and Jeremie Kregelka (information technology services).
