-Breast cancer risk prediction tool for the Palm Computing® Platform.

- In particular, it is designed to be a fast, easy-to-use, and accurate implementation of two commonly-used models of breast cancer risk prediction: the Gail and Claus models

  • With respect to the Gail Model, BreastCa closely emulates the results of the NCI Risk Disk tool. An exhaustive evaluation of the algorithm used in BreastCa shows a maximum absolute discrepancy of 0.0062 % compared to the NCI Risk Disk calculation. Since BreastCa reports risk to the nearest 0.01%, this means that the Gail result reported by BreastCa may occasionally be off by 0.01 %. Note that the NCI tool's GUI interface reports absolute risk to the nearest 0.1%
