How To Manage Your Course Menu
You can create a new button for your course’s navigational menu. One option is to select from a list provided in a drop-down box. Your other option is to add a name in a text box, limited to 18 characters.
Customizing content areas
- Alll courses display the standard navigational menu (Fig 1), located on the main course page

- To add or modify the navigational menu, from the Control Panel > Go to "Course Options" > Select "Manage Course Menu" (Fig 2)

- Click " Add Content Area" to add more content capabilities
- Choose from a content label in the drop-down box, or type a content descriptor in the text box (limit to 18 characters) (Fig 2)

- Click Submit; OK
- Exit Control Panel area; Return to the main course view to preview revisions
Course Tools
- To add or modify a Tool Area in your course site, the process is similar to adding a Content Area (see Fig 2 above)
- Go to the Control Panel > Course Options > Select "Manage Course Area" (see above Fig 2)
- Click to add "Tool Link"
- Choose from a tool label in the drop-down box, e.g., Groups (Fig 3)
- Or type a tool descriptor in the text box (limit to 18 characters)

- Exit Control Panel area
- Return to the main course view > From the main course menu buttons, preview revised Tool menu options
