Tutorial Name: Pigments/cellular or tissue accumulations
ConceptName: Iron
Slide Name: Hemochromatosis (low)

Image Description: Micronodular cirrhosis of the liver with iron (iron stains blue with Prussian blue stains) deposition mainly in the hepatocytes. Note that parenchymal regenerative nodules (separated by fibrous bands) do not have the normal distribution of central vein and portal triads. The fibrosis (cirrhosis) and regeneration occurs as a response to the abnormal accumulation of iron in this metabolic disease.
